Fall 2011 Finds According to Color

This Fall 2011 and year feature a mix of bold with neutral palettes. Colors including Pantone's are teal, purples, golden, tan, browns, and grays. All very beautiful and more so when taken further with depth color ranges and metallic. The jewel-tone colors add such a great, unexpected punch to an otherwise neutral palette.

The colors are everywhere and I find this mix to be one of the best palettes put together yet.  It is a palette that fits almost anything and anyone.  Although, the palette is well-fused, each color commands it's own attention and respect.

The very first item I thought about was my After the Rain Bracelet from Stella & Dot.  It's such a gorgeous piece with it's rich, smoky palette of faceted stones each antiqued and individually distressed by hand that creates the illusion of jewels left out in the rain. The hand wrapped chain adds an extra detail to the bracelet.

Books also follow trends when it comes to fashion and trend.  Take for example the following book by Lauren Oliver, "Before I Fall".  You see the green, golden bamboo, and honeysuckle colors following the Pantone 2011 palette.

Or what about "Whatever!", an interactive journal between parents and children.

Not all interpretation is visual.  Arpege by Lanvin uses a honeysuckle floral scent.

A Fine Education Cardigan
Your afternoons spent studying in the frigid library and the late nights you've spent cramming away in your room have left you well educated, to be sure, but often chilly and longing for a bit of home.

Keep an open mind, and this sweater dress will have you seeing fashion from a different perspective. Deceptively simple, this 1960s-inspired sack dress features a unique, oblique cut that curves out on.

Look around and tell me what you see.
